Responsibilities:
-
- The truck driver is required to drive the truck to and from the customers pick up and drop off locations.
- Maintain accurate work tickets based on the company’s requirements, the work performed for the customer as well as the ability to maintain accurate driving log books, pre-trip/post-trip inspections, and maintenance files on the vehicle.
- Alerting appropriate supervision when mechanical defects are noted on the truck.
Qualifications:
-
- Must have (2) years minimum driving of Actual Tanker and Pump experience with a Class A license. MUST HAVE HAZMAT & TANKER endorsements!
- Must possess a good work ethic, be honest, dependable, and have good communication skills.
- Must be able to lift and perform physical duties.
- Must comply with DOT and Hazardous Waste Regulations and maintain daily paperwork if on HAZMAT LOAD.
We specialize in Transportation of Hazardous Waste. We are looking for dedicated and qualified drivers willing to work hard and grow with us for our OTR Freight Division. We offer Newer, well-maintained equipment. The average driver will be home 6-8 days a month. We pay by the hour. Receive Time and a Half after 40 Hours (1 ½). Benefits of Working for Alpha Petroleum Transport:
- $23.50 to $26.00/hour DOE & Plenty of Over-Time – After 40 Hours @ Time and a 1/2 pay. (Average workweek is 52 to 55 hours)
- Make $77K to $110K Annually on Average!

Field Service HAZMAT Class A Driver
Ability to operate the following units: Stainless Steel Tankers, Vacuum Trucks, Box
Trucks, Tankers and Van trailers, Specialty pump Truck
- Collects waste from various customer locations
- Assists with loading/unloading of drums and totes using pallet jacks, drum dollies
and/or forklifts - Properly secures the loads for safe transportation
- Thoroughly complete DOT shipping documents; Manifests, BOL’s, etc.
- Shuttling units from terminal to terminal, mechanic shops, or tanker washout facilities
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and what is required by the needs of the APT II business
